Kim Blanchard Receives Lifetime Achievement Award from Bloomberg Tax

Weil Tax partner Kim Blanchard has been awarded the Leonard Silverstein Lifetime Achievement Award by Bloomberg Tax and Accounting in recognition of her trailblazing career and wide-ranging accomplishments.

Ms. Blanchard is an expert on the tax aspects of international transactions involving corporate acquisitions and mergers, internal restructurings, business formations and joint ventures. She is also a thought leader of the tax bar and a prominent member of the broader business community. She lectures and publishes extensively on topics ranging from international tax planning for U.S. businesses to the special tax issues facing foreign persons, pension plans and other exempt investors who invest in U.S. private equity partnerships and in U.S. real estate.

For three decades, Ms. Blanchard has set the standard for excellence in the law and this award affirms her status as one of the foremost attorneys in her field. Recipients of the Leonard Silverstein Lifetime Achievement Award, named after the founder of the Tax Management Portfolios, “have demonstrated excellence in their field throughout their career, made contributions to the tax community at large, and contributed to the success of BNA’s Portfolios.”

Ms. Blanchard will be honored at a virtual awards ceremony on Thursday, December 3, 2020.
